Not worth 22k in a million years. It has 200 miles on it, who cares it's a Fiesta! Hardly anything to write home about.

It is just a Fiesta, there are no two ways about it. Who gives a hoot if it's brand new basically? Have to take a fool to part with that kind of cash and not be able to use the 'car'.

I far rather pay 22k for a nice old 911 etc Much more likely to hold it's value rather than something that is stupidly specialist.

then again an acient roman pot is just a pot at the end of the day, yet some people enjoy looking at it in a museum, to me it's just a dirty bit of pot, same as this xr2, ok it's just a fiesta but it is a relic!!!!!

If it had belonged to someone famous, you'd all be saying how it was worth it

It's worth an infinite amount to a Ford museum.

Robin,

If it went to a museum it would be behind ropes with a sign on it saying 'original XR2 with 200 miles on the clock'

That wouldn't make me any more impressed than viewing a restored one and not knowing the mileage.

Twas my first car that too, had a black one and paid £4750 for it back in '84

I cant see why tbh.

Its a car, same car if it has 200 miles or 200k...personally I find it a bit sad if an object isn't used for its purpose

It's arguements like this that can last forever and still get no where..

The main arguement seems to be that the XR2 is not worth 22k, and lets face it its not. Someone might pay 22k for it but in parts I dont think so.

Exactly. There are those of you who think it isn't worth it. But there is a few of us who think it is worth it. So it would be pointless to argue over it. I however think it is worth it because that, in theory, could be the lowest mileage on an original mk1 on this planet. And there are a lot of cars on this planet
