Emirates is a fantastic stadium MARCUS and is very unique (particularly in its location)
Tis a good deal for Liverpool... pays off their enormous debt and secures the new ground!! They won't throw money at the team as they don't need to lose money like Roman did!!

yeah, I wouldnt of mind the Krafts either though TBH, as they are a known sport loving family and have shown their willingness to invest heavily to gain success. But then again they didnt have as much funding in place as DIC so would of looked to sell sponsorship of the stadium like their Gillet stadium they built in the US.

Your new stadium WILL be sponsored... regardless of the money DIC bring IMO... £100m for basically doing nothing in Arsenals case

We dont really have enormous debts (80m is something spouted off by Steve Morgan when he was trying to buy the club on the cheap) so that was never really an issue to get funding.
The stadium was the main reason, as would of had to go down a similar route to you and secure it against the revenue from gate reciepts for atleast 10yrs, and possible renamed it via sponsorship which fans really dont want.

Im not so sure, it is something Rick Parry and Moores are really against and Im certain was something they considered when bids were made.

I doubt it will be sponsored, maybe the travel lodge stadium if they do though

IIRC he was trying to bid for United last year when Glazer was lining up but then backed off.

If wanted to buy Utd then he wouldnt of be stopped by anyone, he is the 5th richest man in the world after all.
I'll have a look for any news reports online now about t, but cant remember ever reading anything about it.

was just about to post that link.
That is just a pure rumour site though, there are zero real news articles that even mention his name in the same article as Utd. So doubt he was ever seriously interested, or even a fan.

Just a few dribs and drabs of info I have heard...
They are buying up 40% of Moores shares (currently owns 51%) and the 9.9% Granada own which will give them the majority shareholding.
DIC's chief executive Sameer Al Ansari, who is a Liverpool fan, will become Chairman, and Moores will stay on at a senior role, while Rick Parry will keep his position and continue to run the club day to day.
IMO this deal sound better and better the more I hear about it!

Mr heikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is worth less than Roman on his own, it's his families wealth which helps 'him' become worth more than Roman. Man for man Roman is worth more.

Maktoum is the head of the family, hence why its his money as he owns and is in control of all their assets.

Maybe so, but according to Forbes he's not worth more than Roman.

Yeah, that list doesnt include royal families, etc.
He took control of his fathers wealth after his eldest brother died, and has been one of the mian brains behind turning Dubai into what it is today which has added greatly to his overall wealth.

But he still isn't a wealthy individual regardless of what he has done for Dubai
