Nothing.
Loom is the same.
If you get an X16XE engine, with loom, and inlet manifold, you've got everything you need.
As for the bike TBs, yes, you could use them.
IMO, it really is better getting the 1.6 in sooner rather than later.

Cool cheers Robin. Am I getting the impression that Bike tb's aren't worth the aggro? Any ideas on what sort of prices x16xe engines etc go for?

I paid £350 for one a year ago, with a gearbox, and all the bits (alternator, loom, ecu, etc)
but you can get them far cheaper than that now, I paid well over the odds, but it was the only one about at the time.

Sorry to keep going on but, wheres the best place to look for an engine? Ebay?? Scrappy??

put a wanted ad up in here, keep looking on ebay, also try MIG, VxON, any vauxhall forum really.
I got mine from a lad on MIG, who was on here too.

ther are a few on fleebay...there is some one selling from erith in kent,he is the fella i got mine of for £ 350 with ecu loom g/box and fuel pump the lot...
