Please tell me you dont actually think he would go to you?

He could go to ANY team in the world, so why would he go to one that isnt competing for the top honours, or even in the top competition in Europe?

top honours leaves man utd. who else? liverpool? or Arsenal? not a chance.

No good being part of a team if your going to warm the bench all the time. at least he would play/get recognition like lennon does

Why? The Serie A is on its arse. Only option is spain, which considering the success rate of young british footballers doesnt look good.

why not us? in europe, young team, lots of potential englands stars, would be garanteed football

Your not in the proper European cup, competing against the best in Europe.

No top name player, which he is, will move to a club that cant offer him Champions League each season.

And fine, if we go out of it the next round we go out...but atleast we were in it

Still playing strong teams, bayer leverkusen got far in CL not long ago and also won the german league. not to mention clubs knocked out of CL will now be joining us

The UEFA is a long long long way from the prestige of playing in the Champions League. Players like Joe Cole will not move to a club that wont offer him this every season, and if you think you can attract these players then your only fooling yourself TBH.

ah well, weve done both in recent years and tell you which one I preferred and which one means more to the club in terms of attracting big name players and money

Joe Cole to Spurs

Silvestre/Wes Brown are both rubbish, I'd be gutted if they played for Arsenal

Man Utd won't sign Hargreaves because he wouldn't pass a medical :S

because there was ALOT of stuff going on off the field that surrounds that move.

Firstly their owners wanted to buy into West Ham and they were a good foot in the door and bargining tool.

And secondly West Ham dont even own either of them, after this season they can walk away any other club MSI decide can have them.

It was basically putting them in the shop windown of a club they thought they'd get plenty of games for. And that would push the prices of them both up....it just back fired for them though.

I'd love for us to sign Matt Jackson from Wigan, but it won't happen

Realistically, Warren Feeney out, and hopefully another striker in to replace the useless cunt.

Palace rumoured to be after Greg Halford and possibly Vaughan from Everton, as well as making Turner a season long loan with kiraly being sent anywhere far far away from Selhurst. Lot of talk about a renewed interest in Eastwood, but cant see it myself.

Yes by actively punishing clubs that cheat, terrible thing to do that, they should let them carry on getting away with it for the sake of making a glamourous league so they attract more world class players.
