UPDATE - 20/12/2006

Not had much time to do any work on either the car or engine today as ive been stripping the silver one, not much at all left and shes going to scrapyard heaven on friday so be glad to see the back of that.
Managed to remove the black dash and all the trimmings to go with this so this will be installed soon, once i have my alarm fitted!
anyway managed to reasemble the engine and fit the gearbox and clutch,
just waiting for the mounts back from the powdercoaters, hopefully friday and we will be in business and hopefully have an engine in over the weekend if not friday!

descided to use the saxo electirc pas pump now so i gain some room for the FMIC more updates on that soon

enjoy the pics!

rebuilding the inlet

New shafts seal and thrust bearing

Engine in one piece

just the timing belt to go on now and we are there!yahooooo

UPDATE

Been a bust day, fitted a 1.4 to my brothers astra runabout as he managed to put a rod through the block somehow so sourced another engine and slapped it in,
forgot how easy it was to do these after working on corsa lets they such a peice of cake, whole lot lifted though the top!IDEAL

anyway, then moved onto the LET dragged it under and lifted her in being carful to watch fresh paint, went in nice and easy anyway, looking good, just need the front f28 mount now and we are in business.
Decided to go for the tubular manifold and aftermarket turbo in the end so the kkk is just there for show(for sale), Also battery is going to be relocated to boot and managed to source a EPAS from 106 gti so happy with that will located that up front sumwere,
anyway heres some pics of the work, or lack of it as its cold!ha

enjoy!!!

im impressed youve removed the arb from under the beam to powdercoat it. havent seen anyone go to the length of removing it before, as its difficult

i did, and it was a cunt of a job to get back in without scratching it

not doing it for show and shine as my brother isnt that way inclined, i have one of those stroed away il put pics up sometime when i get a minute
Although we are tryin to put as much attention to detail in as possible just helps the overall effect of the car when finished all the little touchs add up once together!
thanks for the comments guys
