i agree with you with the above dave. if i had the money and could take the car off the road for a period of time then i would put tb's on.

i just want to get it running again and race a couple of things see how fast or slow it realy is.

its irrelevant mate as each engine and map will require a different setting. also, the piper and schrick cams are completely different. setting cams can only be done on a RR during mapping.

also, I dont know what they are set at as far as degrees from tdc, I set them to where thy work best through the rev range

Looking at the graphs I think there could be more problems that need diagnosing. Can anyone explain the serious dips in the plots?

theres some piss poor torque figures here.

id rather have 130 bhp and 125-130 of torque than 150 to 180 bhp and still only 130 of torque

i am led to belive to be a good car that drives well the torque shud be as close to the bhp figure as poss

You are led to believe wrongly. Torque is required for comfortable cruising, towing caravans and for trucks.

You can't easily get the torque past about 130lb/ft N/A though Adam, that's the only real problem with the engine.

But, 190bhp + 122lb/ft still makes a bloody quick car
