corsa people cannot talk when it comes to build quality imo, the door hinges are better on a corsa that is about it

what are you reffering to? the 106gti has the same power as a vts yes
the rallye doesnt have the same power as a vtr and is a completely different car and drive altogether

no the vtr has 90bhp or 100bhp depending on year, the rallye has 105 bhp, or if your looking at the 1.3 version 10bhp

Steve you are wrong. A Corsa is infinately better built than a Saxo or 106

no way, not a corsa b, all sorts fell of fmy old one, wheels archs, heater controls just pulled off etc etc, a corsa b certainly isnt a well built car, and i dont think you have any high ground to say something is crap build quality, an audi is well built, then you might be able to say something else is crap

Owned a saxo or 106 Matty ?
As steve said, heater knobs fall off, nothing really fitted properly, door trim broke steering wheel had a hole from where you put your hand, and that was on a corsa with 50k

Do I need to? I only need to have driven one or even been a passenger in one to make that judgement surely. And I have driven and been a passenger in them enough to come to that decision.

MAtty G, in think infinitely is a strong term. They are both good in their own respects. I think the engines are stronger. The 8v rallye engine has oil spray nozzles under each piston crown to aid cooling. Well engineered engines.

You need to of owned both for a while or driven both the same amount to judge IMO
As i said above alot of stuff in my corsa decided to break or fall off, my Saxo is perfect apart from a squeak from one of the seats, but everything feels like its fitted well etc..

It's not that, its just the fact people criticise them so much without even driving one or owning one, i admit i was one that used to call it french crap blah blah when i owned a corsa but after owning my paxo for a month or so i can say i enjoy it alot more than my Corsa and that it is no worse than a corsa in the interior department.

i dont think muppetsport is correct when he says everyone goes on about 106gtis like a supercar, i think the opposite, they always seem to get slagged off when mentioned, usually the tired old argument of build quality crops up
the only thing i will say about them, with regards to build quality, is the gearboxs do tend to be like chocolate

I have had 2 corsa b's, and 2 saxo VTR's and one saxo 1.1, and IMO the corsa was better in terms of quality, reliability etc, if the sax touched something it would crease up and be a write off, the bodywork was awfull, the only reason you feel the sax is better is that its newer and has airbags and more up to date stuff, plus if a sax has more than 100k its had its day where as corsas go for far far longer
but in saying that i still prefer my saxo's by far!!
