As mentioned thogh depends on state of tune really!

Agreed, as some unfortunate ponce in an E46 M3 found out whilst on the M25...

Can you imagine it...

£50k BMW sports car...

Being beaten by a Bright Purple Vauxhall Corsa being driven by a girl..........

They scare a lot of cars when running. Its all about power to weight. Standard LET in a Corsa will already be running 200bhp Per Tonne... Now go check some supercar (yup, i mean supercar!!) power to weight figures... Obviously theres more to it than that, but it gives you an initial idea.

A well setup phase 3 should pretty much destroy practically everything in a straight line form above quoted speeds.

thats what i like about mine .. might not be as fast as other cars around or out of slow corners buts its REALLY good fun! ive driven evos, scoobys etc and yes they feel more composed but its something about driving a corsa thats got too much bhp thats more fun

Don't know about Corsa's but in Nova's there isn't alot that can out accelerate them once they are moving

I suggest you STFU?

Rather than sitting around in lectures for an hour a day then off up the pub I suggest you work for a living, how about working with 30+ kids from 8'o clock in the morning until 6 in the evening then, going home and driving to a car park and standing around in the cold, I don't think you would be the happiest person in the world either.

what daimo said... 200bhp per tonne is going to accelerate pretty fcukin quick once traction is acheived.

Put that same standard LET into a nova and its more like 250bhp per tonne

I got ass fcuked by a stripped out, caged up Nova 20LET running a phase chip.

It sat next to me wheel spinning for a moment, before shooting off into the distance making me look like I was stood on the brakes and not the go pedal!!!

but then looking at the power to weight, a nova making 260bhp, and weighing 750kgs is nearly 350bhp per tonne

Im using guesswork here Jamborino... but if JR's stripped corsa J18 was under 800kgs surely a stripped nova will be less????

Add rust into the equation and most are probably even lighter these days

give me one moment and I will find some kerb weights...

Yeah but add another 30-40kg from the weight of a LET engine over a small block. It'll still be in the 800's...

But still, 850kg for arguments sake + 270bhp..

Scuse me, toliet visit needed...
