The VTEC haters were slow to bite lol. If you have not driven the civic or DC5 you wont be aware of the kick vtec gives. It's more noticable on the newer hondas compared to the DC2 and Accord type R. As for the light you either love it or hate it, but the 07 comes with a vtec light as standard.
As for liking the facelift more the only difference is the lower lip and indicators as the interior and lights have been changed to the facelift.
The clio 182... I like that car and someone in my road has one in silver that looks rather nice. I do prefer having a bigger car though. Although it looks small from the outside there is plenty of room inside (waits for family car comments).
It's no super car and there are plenty faster cars out there, but as an all round package they are very good and now you can get them for as low as 7.5k

fuck off is it. 2 of my mates have CTR's, one has a DC5 and one has a DC2. I've driven all of them and vtec is much more noticeable in the b18c dc2.

im with cupra steve on this, the new k20 engines are produced to give less of a kick as there meant for a larger audience.

i agree with the cock again. the earlier b18 engines when they hit vtec its neck jolting, the later ctr's as in the ep3 models, are far more smooth

Totally agree. I used to have a DC2 and have test drove a CTR and the kick is definitely more prominent in the DC2 ITR than the CTR and DC5.

My friend admited in front of me that his CTR you have to rag all the time to get it to go anywhere, but he enjoys that aspect of the car, fair enough

I was going on what was said to me at the ATR rolling road meet. It's a bit hard to compare as nobody I know owns a non modified DC2 or ATR. If it's more kick then that would not be fun as the ep3 wheelspins bad enough when it hits that zone.
VTEC in wet is a no go zone unless you gently go into it, but why would you rev the nuts off the car that much unless you were flooring it anyway?
