love that car mate, you can see the effort that has been put into it! some may say why spend that sort of money on a corsa but at the end of the day like you say its a hobby and you got a lot out of it! if i honestly had that kind of money i would do the same for sure! great car mate!

it was always about the attention to detail for me, i didnt wanna do something without doing it right!

everything had to work together for me and i think i managed that.

i am quite proud of the one off things like the install and door builds etc, i really like the side repeaters in the mirrors for some reason, a very small mod but a needed one and another home grown one

Just out of curiosity (and if you can remember), what was your insurance premium when you first bought it i.e. original, then when it was completely finished with everything declared?

when i first got the car i paid ALOT of money, as i had had 2 accidents, 1 my fault, the other the purple corsa i was run off the road by an uninsured driver so i had to claim 3500.

with the reiger kit, wheels, suspension, exhaust, K&N, i paid 2278.50

a month before i sold it i renewed with HIC and with everything declared, all bodywork, interior etc i paid 545quid!

This is without a doubt one of my favourite corsas ever!

It inspired me hugely with my car, and while my car was in the bodyshop getting its kit fitted i was always looking at the pics from the TV feature. Its the little details what make this car so special and that i really admire about it. Having the balls to do something different and making it all work.

Nice log Sam.
This corsa is 1 of the best made and best of all alot of it was done by Sam himself. The attention to detail was amazing. I loved the car!!

It is my all time favourite Corsa, although I preferred it on the Mille Miglia wheels.

Still the nicest, best thoughtout and well finished corsa I have ever seen - spent ages looking at it at PVS and Donny a few years back.

I preferred it on the T12s aswell, but it just wasnt practical being so low, it wasnt to bad when i had the reiger front but when i put the airdam on it was rediculous! i couldnt drive anywhere the 17s gave me a little more practicality!

Do you know what happened to it after it got smashed?

Gsi`s are such a step up from Corsas though, made the same move as you, although my corsa wasnt quite as nice!

nah tried to get a response from the new owner but heard nothing back!

last i heard was it had been picked up by a mate and was in his lock up, this was like june or something ridiculous considering it was smashed up in december, whether or not the insurance was messing him about or something wasnt right i dont know!

YEh the GSi is such a nice car and so much better in every way compared to the corsa!

Such a shame how this car ended its life. My mate bought it off Sam a few years back, within a week of having it a taxi pulled out in front of him and the corsa was in a pretty bad way. It was then put into dry storage from Dec 05 to last month, now my mate has sold it to the dry storage company to cover the costs of the storage as he fell into debt with them My guess is that what could be sold has been, and what couldn't be sold has been scrapped. Bye bye to a very nice car.

One of the cars that made me get a corsa. Wanted to do the ssme with my dash with the screen, but never got around to doing it.

What a sad end to a great car
