I didnt bother with them 80mm springs in the group buy, they were exacly the same as having my Fk's with the cup out.

They are made so cheap. Not to mention the crap handling that comes with them.

But if your just going for style and looks, there perfect.

I just wasnt impressed with them. When i had them on my old corsa turbo, i took it round Knockhill with them on, and they just dont do well under hard cornering. They are also quite bad for leaks.

But as said, there perfect if your just going for style.

i dont get how they are made cheep......threre springs!... they have a decent rebound rate, the paint hasnt started peeling yet. the alloy cups havent as yet rusted.

im pretty sure the bad handling is caused from the height, and shock absorbers used

im pretty sure it wasnt. Mines wernt set up to look low or for style, were set up to handle as well as they could. But they wernt up to my expectations. But each to there own, differant driving styles, differant preferances.

Not got a corsa anymore mate, when i was was still running the fk coilovers.

Got Avo coilovers on my corrado now, they seem to do the job. Not had a chance to give them a hard time yet though.

and I have to agree with wilson_sri on this one, FK coilovers are very bad quality when compared with other brands, their handling and ride quality is poor and the build quality is questionable.

well ya can`t beat the v/hall system of separate shox and spring for that type of car...platforms dont handle...spax have got it about right with a good blend of ride hight and handleing without the problems of on the arse drops, but i have yellow and black eyes

never had any complaints from people about FK's yet
sell to loads of vw guys and they are well fussy and most of them havnt complaind about them ata all.
people seem to think the lower you go the beter for handling and cornering.. well thats not right
sometimes lower can make handling worse, if your looking at handling you really dont want to go any lower than between 40 and 60mm
blue car above id say is abut a perfect heightm why would anyone need lower than that.
ok so some other coilover kits are slightly better quality and g lowert but then you pay for that, your not going to buy the other makes for just over £300 are you!KW'S are great quality , still only lower to -60mm but your lookign at 500 for the varient 1's.

I know this is an old thread so sorry to drag it up,but I've just fitted the fk coilovers to the front my sport and the springs with adjuster cups on rear, I wanted it as low as possible on the springs on the rear so I thought I'd leave the cups out,but if I do that then jack the beam back up and line up the bolt holes on the shocks theres about a 2" gap between the top of the spring and the top seating section if that makes sense,so I fitted them with the cups but they will only fit with the cups at the top of the springs....

if you take the cups out, cable tie the spring to the beam, once theres weight on the suspension there wont be a gap
