i thought the whole skill is in facial expressions and body language to fool your opponents, you lose that online

Online poker is a completely different style of play. its alot harder than face to face IMO, but ive been playing alot lately, and starting to get used to it.

I'll sign up tonight. Didn't have time last night. I've played a few times online, quietly confident.

yeah, totally correct. Thats why playing online is so much harder as instead of trying to find a tell in someones face or body language you've got to monitor all their hands they play, what sort of hands they go into, etc. etc.

Like Nath, I'm quietly confident. I play on PartyPoker.net quite regularly and getting the hang of the online play.

it all goes on your cards on the night. If you dont get decent cards then you'll only win a few hands bluffing and be fucked for the rest of it.

By the way, we are playing Texas hold 'em aren't we??? Dont think anyone has mentioned that yet. Also, is it no limit? and what do the blinds start at?
I'll probably find this out later when i register but i'm at work at the mo and its not a good idea to start joining poker sites!

That is the same for all kinds of poker tho. Unless your a pro people will always catch you bluffing eventually.

you have to earn 150pts each though, so unless everyone carries on playing for a fair bit after the tournament then he wont get anything!

im not after making money anyway, although will be nice. i think it would just be a huge laugh and a good nights worth of play. the money i oculd get for people signing up to the site is just there to be used, so why not?
also, the blinds start 10-20 for 15mins, working up from that. It is no-limit texas hold em.
can you all add your names to the list, and register
cheers
