because the only plates you are allowed are the normal style issued when you buy a new car, not different fonts/colours/spacing etc etc, just normal plates is all that is legal.

german cars with german plates are legal as they are registered in germany.

not rocket science.

i only asked a simple question...no need to be an arse is there and lots of people over here have italic fonts and messed up spacing e.g. saw a plate on a smartcar tonight that said B 10NDE so i don't understand how they can be legal?

German plate on a UK car is illegal. Its clearly UK registered.

Dodgy font is also illegal and I would have thought that you are just as likely to be pulled for that.

I voted hot but as most people have said on the right car, VAG or euro styled. I think what ben is trying to say is, if a german car comes over here with the german plates, dothey get pulled also due to police thinking they are illegal. or if you look at the other way, if a car was registered in england but badged up as say an opel, with german plates, would they leave you alone. IMO the answer is no as they would only have to look if the car is LHD.
