I love how people call banks wank, yet it's their fault that they go overdrawn and subsequently get charged. People should live within their means and stop complaining
I'm thankful Barclays haven't closed my account before now due to my track record Love em

I don't go over drawn. HSBC are just tossers when you want credit card fraud sorting.

Piss off brett they take take take and have shitty rules about not helping you out, they are not flexible at all, whereas I know for a fact halifax are.
If you are mr organised and so pedantic that it's black and white then fair playbut alot of people's brains do not work like that and have different things coming in and out of there accounts month by month that expect/benefit from some level or flexibility

There you go, Tom. Admitting you have a problem is the first step

My thoughts exactly.
This is the case I have been arguing in the thread in House Day.

Still, the amount they charge you is seen as a penalty charge. Which is ILLEGAL. They are only allowed to recover their costs. I wouldn't mind paying charges if they weren't stupidly high.

What is your point, I was saying that halifax are good (my friend works there and they will reverse someones charges if they phone up and explain they cannot afford to pay them for example, hsbc are too rigid and their staff are like robots).

It's not just about spending. Say I have a direct debit come out the day I get paid, and the debit comes out first, they return it and charge £30.

they charge you for paying the direct debit then they charge you for being overdrawn usually! %0 quid straight away, happened to me last month, as it was the first time they let me off. That was with abbey, i'd have claimed them back anyway but would have been a ballache.
My girlfriend is shit with money combined with the banks taking the piss she soon racked up 200 quid about a month ago. She's too lazy to claim it back though, im not fucking doing it for her.
