the Poll can G T F. 2nd Gen with the cooler in the PSU has stopped most of these problems.

I'd personally question the validity of the claims you've played it, you seem to reel that reason for not buying it out far too often and in my past experiences thats the route someone goes thats trying to reinforce there point with fabrications.

also i had one pre ordered before xmas, i cancelled due to me playing it and thinking 'I already have a console that does this and more'
so i cancelled. I shall get a Wii next xmas though for when mates are around

one thing you can't say I would buy is a mac, thats just a pc for the people who use firefox.
Can your 360 play bluray discs, or any sort of high def media disc without an add on?
If it can't your statement about the cheaper machine being able to do everything is a bit of a lie and you should STFU.

Yes it's expensive, yes it costs more than a 360 but imo you are getting an awfull lot for your money.
If you buy consoles based on price go and buy a wii.
if you want a games console and hd movies then the price between a ps3 and a 360 with hd dvd addon is only a few quid and choosing which console becomes alot harder. but right now the 360 has more games under its belt and the preferred online service.
the game lineup for 2007 does look impressive for the ps3, and the 360 has an equally impressive 2007 lineup aswell.

Yes the live system is very good and a big selling point for the 360, sony will have a hard time trying to ctach up.

What makes me laugh is that if all the people on here have bought a 360 bought a PS3 if that had been first out, they would be defending that to the death now over the 360.

I am moving house in the near future and will have a new room etc, I will at that point be investing in an lcd and a console.
I will make my decision at that point.
One of the only games I played for more than 5 mins on the ps2 however was gran turismo, this could be a big factor.
I also may buy a 360 then wait for the price of the ps3 to drop.
