i couldnt think of anything to do. I sort of regret using the waxoyl because it looks messy. Will see how it goes with another coat.

I'll bin the heatshield then. Less hassle, cheers! I forgot to fit those wheels today but the car should look good with them once ive got a few bits sprayed up! maybe worth the wait

cheers phil.

small update, got the front bumper off and stripped down ready for paint, although i must admit, i had abit of trouble trying to get the arch liners off to unbolt the arch trim so i left that for now.

had a go at fitting the HIDs i bought a while back and was simple enough, the hardest part was finding a good earth.
bolted the ballasts to the back of the crash bar

got the ECU thing hanging on one of the bolts formerly used for the SAI bracket.
Should hold in place.

Didnt have any lamps fitted but wanted to see if they worked

Ended up trial fitting one of my front lamps with the HID bulb in. Looks pretty good I think but i dont know whether i want to keep them matt black.

No update last week because i didnt do much except abit more undersealing but finished early due to fucking gail force winds - nearly had a fence fall on me so i called it a day.

Yeh i fitted one to the front today as it happens but i'll need 3mm spacers. I think having the V6 discs on yours meant that you could do away with spacers but ill definately need some.

Not sure. It actually looked quite nice when i fitted one of the black wheels today so i'm in two minds about getting them sprayed another colour. They'll need spraying whatever happens

done a couple more little things. The bodykit is currently getting sprayed so im expecting that back next week although Graeme should know more on that.

Fitted the whiteline ARB was easy enough to fit once one of the brackets was on to hold it in place

got the bonnet lifters through yesterday so got on with fitting them. I didnt enjoy this job.

Also got the BMC induction kit through so fitted that. I had some induction piping already so used that instead.

cheers boys. Took the drivers seat out to investigate a creaking and noticed there were a few small cracks around the spotwelds of the o/s hook, so that will need welding up asap. At the moment it feels like its going nowhere without the bodykit.

believe it or not yes. Thats what the service history says and the clocks hadnt been touched when i looked a while back. 12year old car doing 3.5k a year with water settling on it is no good. If I were to get an older car again, ill go for one with higher miles.

after seeing how tight the gap is between tyre and spring seat i thought i'd invest in some 3mm spacers.
put a pound coin to show how tight it is

Won some on eBay for 1p Was due abit of luck so got on to fitting them
Got pissed off with trying to line up the spacers with the bolt holes and putting on the wheel - was impossible so bought a stud conversion kit

is so much easier to put wheels on now

gap between tyre and spring seat with the spacers

didnt know what to do today so got on with cleaning up the drums.

used a wire brush drill attatchment to clean up any loose rust and smooth down the metal.
on the top of the drum is what it was like before. Looked pretty cack

after using a wire brush on them

Cleaned it up then used gloss black high temp paint. Not sure on them but they look better than before so it will do.

clean arches aswell
