A phase 2 vtr is dead level with a 1.6 sport
a phase 1 would be level with a 1.6 sport as well ffs its only got 8BHP less
10 bhp less, and ofcourse you would know.
i would know i used to own a saxo theres not a lot of difference between the two

How does the 1.6 sport do against a C2 VTS (don't start talking about the saxo!)

10bhp in a 350bhp two ton car wouldn't seem like much but 10bhp in an 88bhp car weight just over 900kg you will notice the difference

not sure but reckoning the c2 will be pretty much like the saxo vts, think about it, they are both citroen and the c2 is newer, if it hasn't got the same engine i doubt they would put something in that was not on par with the saxo as people with saxo's wouldn't want to upgrade their citroen kind of thing.

c2 vts is 125 bhp and weights more than the saxo VTS. Weights just over a tonne.

Erm tbh i dont know because ive only had it 2 and a half months and had the silver corsa 2 years with 2 differnt engines...
The saxo hasnt really put a foot wrong apart from when i first bought it but that was just a split in the inlet, since thats been replaced there hasnt been any problems at all touch wood..
Silver corsa when i bought it was only on 28k, didnt have any trouble with that for ages until things like rear drums locking up under braking etc but that was due to modifications.
I would say the inside of the corsa is nicer than the saxo by far but saxo dials are nicer.. i would again say i prefer corsa looks by far, but in terms of speed and handling i prefer the saxo .

the saxo being lighter the 10bhp difference will be reduced, bet theres hardly an difference on real world driving

the extra bit the phase 2 has makes quite alot of difference imo. as said in such a light car it helps.

Yes, in real world driving one second to 60 won't mean much difference. But the point here is the P2's extra 10bhp DOES make a difference.

Unless you want outright performance the Corsa is a nicer car.

i am agreeing that the p2 is a bit different but that does not mean a
phase 2 will keep up with a 1.6 sport and a phase 1 wont as was previosuly stated earlier
