you can buy them for like 2 quid on ebay in black my aerial is tiny and picks up any station

i got mine from vauxhall, asked for a vectra short aerial, was about a tenner if i remember right

Exactly - my courtesy car at the moment (new Yaris) has the same as Vauxhall aerials (a lot of cars seem to have the same aerial) and was the same thread etc. Chucked on the one I made and it worked fine, so it will be going on my car when I get it back!
In fact, there was signal, right until I actually took the aerial off the base, even completely unscrewed with just minor contact with the thread and it was working.

Was that by any chance when you started driving?
I have just started driving my own car, hence why I have done it - plus I think the standard Vaux Corsa aerials look odd.

I have a standard one and dont really notice it. I was thinking in my head when I read the post, where's the aerial on my car
