theres more to it than meets the eye. Im not sticking up for SKY but Virgin are making money on VM , so SKY have every right to up the cost, SKYs prices themselfs have gone up so its fair imo.

TBH, the only reason i'd get cable over sky is if I was going to rip it off with a dodgy box. Cable isn't available in my area tho.

Needs to be connected to a BT landline for the dial backs and system updates, also for Box Office, if its not connected you get a letter every week for a few weeks then they bill you extra.

Or start to bill you if like me you dont pay anything

If people have NTL/Telewest/Virgin phone, internet & TV but want to get rid of TV and keep the others, then I'm pretty sure you can.

My auntie has done that.

TBH sky pretty much have the monoply and charge piss taking prices for there service. I have sky+basic package (no movies or sport) and it costs 36 a month!)
DId have cable in my house when if fisrt moved in but its pants so ripped it out and got sky installed.
I am happy with sky, just feel that they charge what they want because really they are the main contender....

sure a sky sales guy said to me a while back that there is no need now for Bt line but will probably mean you can't use the interactive services

I don't get Sky sports news on freeview??? And if it is a free channel why has it been taken off on Virgin..

I pay £22 a month for the Sky sports channels so surely I should get the sports new channel too ??

going to phone them I think...

Im in the same boat as brett.
The only reason I would get cable over sky would be to rip it off with that box that gives you every channel!

So no Lost anymore, well thats fuckin shite, only thing i watched on Sky One without fail. They say they have bought series 1,2 & 3 but bet it takes ages for them to put it on there, guess il have to download them for now.

You can change the colours of the onscreen menu in settings.
