Ticket prices in this country are sickening. I hope The Sun's price campaign has a positive effect.

i do agree, in spain etc they are very cheap but then they have massive grounds which can help make it pay.

True enough, but I still don't agree with ripping off your own fans. It's not like they need to charge £50-£72 to break even.

yea, deman is another factor, people may take the piss but Arsenal or chelsea tickets are like gold dust. its not uncommon to get them outside the ground for £100+

Blackburns initiative with ticket pricing is encouraging, it's all good and well recieving the tv money but it rips the heart out the game a bit with less supporters at grounds, especially the lower leagues.

For some reason our last two home games have been over 95% full. Couldn't tell you why either, we lost both

Better weather coming in maybe? Dunno but one things for sure i'd rather be sitting in a full stadium of my own support than half filled stands, i think it comes across in the way the players play as well, there's a lethargy when there's no great vocal support.

Bolton, Blackburn, Everton, Sheff Utd, and even Chelski are either reducing or freezing their prices. Good news.

of course teams like Bolton, Wigan and Blackburn will lower prices as they dont get full grounds every weeks as it is.

Teams like Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, etc. who have massive demand for tickets (last check there was a 56k waiting list for Liverpool season ticket) wont lower prices. In our case I dont see a need either, already have some of the lowest prices in the league, especially considering our position it it aswell.

Nothing better than embracing a big bunch of fat pie eating men while you all sing along at the same time even if it does sound a tad gay

Granted you don't need to, and if your prices are reasonable then I see no reason to lower them. It's the £50+ tickets that I have a gripe with. Nobody should have to pay that to watch 90mins of Football, a working mans sport.

tbh the pressure of big names, TV revenue is the root cause of higher prices

Aye, its going in the wrong direction for sure. The big 4 will always be the big 4 due to the money involved.

i think there should be some sort of financial limits to limit it a bit more, otherwise its just going to be about who has the richest owners
