Do you have evidence to base your assumption on?
Have you sat in a C and a D?
I know which is better built, and it's not the C.
The D is as well built/good quality as the Mk5 Astra, which is FAR FAR better than any Vauxhall ever before it.

No, they really have. It all feels so much more solid than the Corsa B or C. Okay, it isn't know Audi but this car is definitely worth the £15,995 price tag.
Obviously we are just going on looks but I'm sure this will out perform any of the previous Corsa's. Like someone said, OPC have been developing this car a long time.
Oh, as I asked about the VXR8 - there is only 1 in the country, the one which was on Top Gear.
And another thing, they have 650 deposited orders for the VXR already. The guy said that you have only been able to put deposits down 1 week, which, I didn't think was true.

This man speaks the truth.
Compare the Corsa's over the years - every single one has inproved in build quality. Nova to B to C and now to D.
The Corsa VXR is immense. The end.

Not quite sure how you'd manage to scratch a dashboard Mine could be scratched, but it's not, as I never rub my keys/sanpaper over it

Getting in with keys in the wrong hand, putting stuff on the passenger seat.....ermmm, thats it
I just mean cos its so shiny any marks/scratches are gonna show up really easily compared to a dull finish.

Yeah, and everyone will pay the extra

But the Vauxhall colour is red - all about branding, marketing and corporate image.

shiny black cd player and dash bits look shit. also the throttle body design/position looks like it can be improved on, looks like they have stuck it on like they did on the x16xe. engine bay also looks a mess.
also needs speedlines and a gsi kit

Video link
I had to be the one to ask if they could start it up and surprisingly, the did!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRsfGLQUUkQ
It just puurs on idle, sounds rather strange when he revs it BUT it was in a breeze block room and the car wasn't moving.
Just for the record, thoughs that have said they've seen one in Luton and people have disagreed, you'd be right - there are about 10 in Luton.
Anyone interested in the Vauxhall touring car team - the gear boxes haven't arrived for the new Vectra yet, which has to be fully built by Friday 2pm.

How can anyone comment on the interior feel/quality if they haven't been in both
I have and the D is leaps and bounds ahead of the C.

not a fan at all. the back looks odd with the shape of lights etc
Prefer the clio but then gaian that is not on my list of cars that I particularly like
Think this trinagle design will date the car very quickly

I've got a C and had a go in a D before I decided to go for the C instead - didn't like the D much and though the build quality did seem very good I can't say the C feels any worse.

it looks a bit plasticy, really not a fan of gills etc on cars if there not functional.
thik id rather the clio, it has a wider looking stance yet this corsa seems very narrow and high and the front lights seem to over power then front end hugely.

People are forgetting 1 key fact though...
...the Clio is still French.
The Corsa VXR is a mixture of English and German. Look how good the McMerc is

Bonnet catch looks a bit flimsy.... I can see some Clio style bonnet action after a few years.

Steve, please STFU
Corsa D is much much better built than the Corsa C, don't comment unless you have been in both.
