They were all injected. although the 1.2 and 1.4 were single point up to 98 then multi point.

the 1.4 in the SRi/early 5 door GLS models used multi point. The other 1.2 and 1.4s were single point till then though.

my 1.2 8v valve bounces at:

1st-30
2nd-55
3rd-80
4th-over 100
5th- top speed 111

thanks for the info, maximum i got for first gear was 30mph, 2nd was 52mph, 3rd was 75mph 4th was bout 90.

You dont want too be blasting 1st gear wont do it anygood.
Be normal with first then limit 2nd,3rd and 4th. Once you've blasted 4th gear 5th wont be great.

Ive done about the same speeds on them gears accept 5th ive pushed 115 on a long stretch, didnt feel nice tho and id say the speedo lies when it gets over 100.

1st Gear - 35Mph @ 6800Rpm
2nd Gear - 58Mph @ 6800Rpm
3rd Gear - 85Mph @ 6800Rpm
4th Gear - 110Mph @ 6800Rpm
5th Gear - 130Mph @ 6800Rpm

All tried and tested on an airfield

dun it once revin the bollox off it never again but i got sumink lyk............ 1st =30
2nd =45-50
3rd =65
4th =75
5th=90
thats on a 1.2i 8v
