depends how many microns of wax they need to perfect the pain finish I would imagine. or the exchange rate on holy water and natural sea sponges.

Actually you are wrong there again. Detailing is actually the term that Americans started using for what we call over here valeting.

TBH If I had a half decent car, I would perhaps spend some money on getting it "detailed" once to get it mint, then just look after it myself

www.polishedbliss.com who are based near where I live charge £30 an hour including all materials. I think they can take over 12 hours to do paint correction work.

I can't choose TBH. I love having a nice subtle looking car. But now I have the tuning bug so i'm going mad with performance goodies over visual modifcations

theres a guy called jedi knight of vagweb, he does "detailing" and his work is amazing, he only charges about 200 quid a car maybe more maybe less depending on what you want.

Hes not as anal as that astra vxr bloke, i think thats way OTT imo

Tuning. Can do detailing quite well myself to the level that I want. Anything more is overkill for a car I use everyday.

Well, i enjoyed cleaning my car. I even done valetting while i was out of work, but spent far too long cleaning/polishing opposed to making money

Its gonna be a track car, but that doesn't mean i still wont spend hours and hours cleaning, polishing etc... I enjoy it, so why not?

Taking care of an engine bay like mine doesn't take 5 minutes I can assure you.

I prefer tuning, but am happy to clean my car out to the extremes....

Such as previous...

So i'd say both, even though the poll isn't the best as its usually stylying or performance, not performance or cleaning.

Do you have an attitude disfunction ffs, if the poll is usually styling or performance why would i post it up again

Also it say's nothing about 'cleaning' i was talking about the thousands of pounds regular detailing would cost and what tuning products you could have had with the same level of expenditure. The result seems conclusive to me.
