On the hardware side, Blu-ray is outselling HD DVD by five to one, but this is largely due to Sony's PlayStation 3. Since Blu-ray discs aren't selling that strongly, it's tempting to suggest that PlayStation owners either aren't interested in using it to play Blu-ray discs

Blu Ray is winning, far far ahead of HD DVD, and the Playstation 3 will become the best console money can buy when it goes on sale here in australia tonight at 12am. The queue at midnight for people to grab one for the launch is unreal

last time i went into JB HiFi, i couldnt even see HD DVD titles for sale

similar to the 360 launch a year ago

HD is outselling Blu ray in UK. And if you read them links you posted it states'

The majoirty of PS3 owners are NOT interested in blu ray films' hence the low sales when compared to consoles

No it's not useless Topshot it's factual information. Also i never said it would help Sony win any console war nor do i particularly care it gives people another side to the argument you and Steve seem to be overlooking.

it is useless as many of the blu ray companies have stated that they will support HD also. that list is out of date.

Yokohama Elastimokiwawa says the PS3 is going to blow the console world away, he says the 1.21 jigowatts of power the PS3's processor develops will literally turn back time on other console cpu's. Furthermore he says with the added Blue-Ray feature it will be MS left feeling the blues.

its also interesting to note that as the ps3 has just been launched theres bound to be an influx of sales in blu ray media, my guess is long term hd will win

Even if HD DVD where to fail, the xbox still wouldnt due to it not being part of the console.

Please can we see documneted evidence that PS3 is better than the xbox?

it seems PS3's argument for being 'better' is a HDMI cable and blu ray player

both of which i can by better stand alone units anyway
