Is that the sole basis for your argument here: that for a team to not be deemed shite they have to have won the premiership recently? How on earth do we look a million miles from winning the league?? The start of the season is what fooked us up, and our record against the bigger teams but weve seemed to improve that over the 2nd half of the season.
With our American owners and new stadium we can only get closer

22 points behind is quite a gap,the new owners wont be able to outspend united,let alone chelsea,so if united and chelsea both strengthen their squads in the summer i cant see liverpool overtaking either of them.

Edd, seriously you come across as an absolute wanker. Not just in this thread but many others you have posted in on here. So kindly STFU and post when you have some views based on fact other than just pure opinion, bias and ignorance.
We were miles away when you look at the points from winning, no doubt about that. Points dont lie. But in terms of having a team/squad able to win games we are only a few top class players away from this...our defensive record shows this being more of less equal to both Utds and Chelseas, so its just those 20+ goals a season forwards we need.
And as for questioning us in Europe...we won it 2 seasons ago with a worse team/squad, we have won more games in it than any other English club in the last 5 seasons, and we knocked out Barca this time round over two legs...so thats why we are one of the favourites at the moment.

im not talking about the european cup im talkin about the premiership,people talk them up every year but they always flatter to decieve in the league,so what if martin o'niell thinks they have a chance
im not saying they are a bad team,as they obviously aren't, i just dont think they are anywhere near as close as some people think to winning the championship.
