got to agree!!

however, given the failure of the part(s) i would use the scenario that if it had have been on the motorway you would be injured-maybe dead, i would use this as the basis for demanded a resolution

Have you actually figured out WHY it broke though?

IMO I'd be wanting to know that before bunging new parts on incase it happens again .

Ive heard a few bad things about m-tech stuff although my first XE never had any problems.. My latest one uses GSi shafts and original cv's etc... in a way i feel safer with them, worst it can do is tear a cv joint apart.. lol

You think the nut has to be overtightened to get it to go tight then puts the shaft under too much pressure?? Seams likely..

Ahhh as in pushing on the bearing constantly? That could be checked by seeing how much sideways movement the shaft has when its built up. If theres none the shafts too long imo..

Did it droan or that Phil, any funny noises leading up to it. I wouldn't be happy about rebuilding it without knowing the problem was cured. Fuck having your hub go awol at high speeds..

I had the bearings pressed into the hubs and ran it for about 2000 miles. It has been making funny noises for a week or so now, and i've had the brakes apart a few times, spun the wheel with it off the ground and it's sounded fine.

Normally I would get a creaking noise when I shut off. I was aggravating it booting it in 3rd and shutting off with a mate hanging out the window listening too

Where it broke off I wouldn't have been able to see unless I took it all apart anyway and got the CV's and Hubs off.

M-Tech blamed the Hub nut not being tight enough.
