They'll still win the league and have every chance in the 2 cups

Considering the penalties we have had given against us, I can't believe that wasn't given.

Ref bottled it!

You can also guarantee if that penalty decison was on Ronaldo it would have been given!

Can someone explain to me why the fuck that goal was disallowed Not offside, no foul and out of the keepers hands. Nothing wrong there and I remember Henry doing it once and it was given.

Simple - Ungentlmanly conduct. Its not in the spirit of the game. Its been the same rule since I started playing 23 years ago. Its a sensible rule otherwise you would get people crowding the keeper trying to kick the ball all the time.

I appreciate that but there is no rule that says that you can't do it! Seems a bit strange that Henry does it and it's fine and then Solksjaer does it and it's a henous offence and he gets booked for it! Consistancy please

They said at the time that the goalkeeper must be allowed to play the ball.

Im actually surprised he never gave the goal, every other decisioon went man utd's way. Considering the penalty decison.

In Match of the day they clarified there is a rule

"FIFA Question No. 23. As a goalkeeper releases the ball to kick it into play, an opponent intercepts it before it touches the ground. Is this permitted?
Answer: No. It is an offence to prevent a goalkeeper releasing the ball from his hands. The releasing of the ball from his hands and the kicking of the ball is considered to be a single action."

When did Henry do it? I have seen him knock it out of a keepers hand which is a completly different scenario. If a goalkeeper it looking around holding the ball in 1 hand he is NOT in control of it and its effectivly in play. As soon as he start the action of going to kicking it then its into the rule above i.e. what Solksjaer did.

yes there is! Rule states that you cannot block the keeper when he has the ball in his hand and is going to kick the ball, as that is classed as one movement.

If he had stopped it after the keeper had kicked it then that MIGHT have been ok. But what he did was just totally wrrong and I think 99% of 8yr old footy players would know this!
