£1300
Once you've bought them the wheels & the kit you'd be better off buying a real R32

I think an S3 for 13k would be better imo. 1.8t is better to mod apart from sticking £12k on the R32 lump!
Could think of a few audi's tbh, BWW 330ci?
M3?
S3's are nice, a black one with silver leather would be cool, but it wont be the facelift one which looks better & has more power.
1.8t - possible, if I was going to go down to GTi spec I would probably go the full ecconomy drive & get the GT tdi!!
M3 - for £13k it would be a end of line E36 surely!!
Couple nice Audi's I like, being the S4 saloon & A4 cab.
BMW - kind of went off them
TBH when i was typing that i was thinking the R32 was better!

Crikey - something like this would do at half the price - http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.jsp?searchform=&modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&photo=1&state=block&sort=3&hassearched=Y&make=VOLKSWAGEN&min_pr=5000&source=0&model=GOLF&max_pr=10000&miles=1500&agerange=&mileage=&postcode=fk3+9dh&variant=&bodyid=0&trim=R32&fuelid=0&colour=&transmissionid=0&keywords=&ukcarsearch_full.x=65&ukcarsearch_full.y=7&start=8&distance=385&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200718104993727
Then wait on a £1300 R32 interior coming up on ebay

The fella is a really nice bloke, prefer the anni kit i think, atleast it pulls it off as the anni was a 1.8t, prefer the RS6 wheels over the 32's, think i want it!

Before you settle on the R32 make sure you drive an RS. I know i harp on about it but they really are an awesome fun drive. The R32 is a great car (i looked at one instead of my s3) but they are heavy, whilst the rs is just amazing power and incredibly fun.

For £13K you would easily get a Facelift S3, they have dropped a hell of a lot. Mine was £12,800, low mileage, decent spec, 52 reg..
I do like the R32's though.

I meant I wont pick up an 03 plate for 12-13k. Facelift was in 2001 wasnt it? then carried on til 2003 when they stopped making them?

oh right! Didn't even think of one of them, Not 4wd though, i'd say get an S3 then remap it, 265bhp + in a lush S3.

Depends if it has to be 03 plate, you could get a low mileage older one. But the very late ones still seem to be mega bucks even with high-ish mileage on them.

I would personally take an RS over the other 2... slightly more modern and unique... I think

I was just looking at like for like on age & price, cos the focus & R32 will be 03 plates as thats the only year they were made.

I'd say an S3 then remap it, or get a Honda Integra DC5.
