Dunno, I just asked what it weighed, thats the answer he gave me. He's obviously been miss lead some where along the lines.

saxos from 99>late 2000 tend to make a bit mroe than 120bhp, closer to 130bhp, they have a slightly different head and no EGR system

So after all the arguments after me saying phase two's DEFENTILY seem faster its actually true!
Thats would explain why I can pull easy from a phase 1, and crawl upto a phase two.

1400kgs! an astra weights about 1200kgs
Mine was a standard Corsa GSi with a 2.0 XE Lump, i never had it weighed but apparently they weight around 1050kgs.
Sports with elec windows, air con etc etc will weigh a lil bit more.

Corsa with XE doesn't weight over a tonne. Morelike 950-975 with full interior.
Expect an XE corsa to be nippy, not fast.
Over 06 Astra weights 1400kg. If my corsa weighed that i don't think i'd ever drive it again

a fully built up c20xe is 50-60kg heavier than a fully built up x16xe
(including their respective manifolds and gearboxes) this measurement has been proven by 3 different people that have weighed the engines back to back.

Is that including PAS, AC, ABS & SAI on the x16xe Dave?

Fuel on mine, hasn't been too bad lately. I thought would be much worse.
£25 in when picked it up, drove about then another £20 in on Sat to fill the tank back up.
£45 so far about 300miles and still got well over half left in the tank, but then I haven't yet drove it like an idiot.
Very good fun though.

Well, my modifications that add weight are....
x2 14kg seats
x2 V6 calipers, pads, disks
x1 Smoothed over boot
Front Bumper (more than original)
Stieny skirts, weigh a good 10kg each side. Stupidly heavy.
Rear bumper - Again, much heavier than standard item.
x2 huge rear exhausts.
16" alloys
2.0 16v + F20....
That lot came to 1002kg................

Oh, and the car has a sunroof, which is obviously much heavier than a bit of tinny roof...
And 1/2 tank of juice on the day of weighing. WEighbridge accurate to within 5kg.
