I was under the impression that unless an induction kit is heat proof or has a direct cold air feed; it actually makes the performance worse as it allows heat into the engine?

Was advised personally to get a BMC kit or a pannel filter myself

sportex systems are very affordable. Ł70 for a back box off ebay. and will be a straight swap for the standard one. Fitting will be easy if it's on a ramp.

MAx Power induction kits, one of the worst for letting crap through the filter elements into your engine. Filter elements are too far apart, hence why you get "cheap" induction kits. You may as well stick a pair of tights on the end of the inlet.....

It fells faster as the throttle is more responsive, part of how an air filter works. The car isn't actually any faster though. I(t may pickup a little better, but if anything, you loose top end performance.
