Do you have those pics to hand? I cant see it being stress related just for the fact that the hole is so clean. If it rusted in the arch I could understand why someone would have bent the panel back and filled over it. Its basically a clean hole about an inch each way. The surrounding area is fine. Bit weird!

It looks like your 106 has seen some rear end pummeling Butler.

Im thinking the welds are something 'jig' related, much like Stu was saying.
They may have welded a hook or fixing point to the shell to make the job easier

Do you reeeeeeally think so? Its proper random just two splodges of weld and a weird hole thats been filled over. The thing is, if it has been rear ended, how is the rest of the car so clean with these couple of tiny imperfections? You would have though they would be sorted. Im still holding out on the fact its related to all the shit thats been in the back of the car.

Wouldnt the hole and welds have been sprayed over in that case? This weekend im taking it to the friendly guys at Engineered By Design who will hopefully weld the hole over properly, straighten the panel out and spot weld it into place.

Its had a rear end ding, the floor pan as more then likely been/ tried to be put back into original place, also if the previous owner had a big accident and then repeaired it himself etc etc then its easily possible that it hasnt gone down on the logbook or history etc. It looks like the floor pan has been twisted to get the arch bit to go like that so = rear end ding.

Im 99% sure its not had a rear ender! Its literally just a hole. The whole floor pan is fine.
