actually no, we go up the A1(m), then come off at stevenage north, take my magic route to Luton, go past the Vauxhall factory and then BAM M1.

luton route is gash but theres roadworks up the m1 fom before watford now so its quicker

Going that way does seem a bit odd though. Especially as the M1 is West of Northampton, and the Pod is East of it. So you'll be heading pretty much as the crow flies, then going West, North, and then East again.
Would make more sense to go A1, then the way we went to EM meet, instead of turning off into Bedford, keep going to the A6, then A6 it all the way to the Pod.
