Yeah spain or west ham would be the only place to shop for strikers  all players who i'd be happy with buying have different qualities but are all worth adapting the team around imo (eto'o, villa, torres, tevez)
Right wing could be sorted with alves if we played a winger type team. All difficult stuff but sure raf's got plans.
Left wing could be sort with a melouda if we played wingers

If it was me I'd buy Milito and play 3 at the back (with Carra and Agger) and then play wing backs with Alves and someone else on the left. Alonso, Gerrard and Masch in the middle. And Kuyt with Eto upfront!

He is a bit weak defensively so would of needed Masch or Alonso helping out a lot, his pace would of been useful though. Riise would do well in that role if he kept his form upto how he can, so would Aurellio really.
If he buys Alves I can see us playing something similar, but really depends if he buys some out and out wingers too, as cant play that formation with them.

I'm not 100% sure, I would like to see us playing like this but not sure it'll ever happen. Suppose will be able to see in the summer.

he played like this a few away games last season (main one I can remember was against Wigan, won 4-0 or something like that!)
I dont think we could do this against the better teams though, as leaves us too open IMO.

We need an every week team, but be nice to have a real attacking option such as ours above by switching a few players (could do with a durable few players)

But central midfielders cant cover down the wings if they got forward, would leave the middle open then! Would be holes all over the show.
Alonso had a bad run of form, no doubt about that, but he has been back on form for the last few months without a doubt. Sissoko however hasnt had a good game since he got back from his shoulder injury...has been fairly shocking infact.

Sissoko is a donkey.
Alonso has been wank all year, looks as though he has had his mind elsewhere.
Mascherano is world class.
I do hope Rafa does invest in some ENGLISH players though sooner and some come through the youth system.
I'm gettin sick of the Spanish Imports now.
I also feel Alves, isn't really needed. I feel Finnan at right back is good enough, one of the most under rated in the squad tbh.
Liverpool, I feel just need a world class Right Winger (Beckham on loan? haha messing) and a World class Left winger. In the centre, they are pretty much sorted with Gerrard and co.
They need to strengthen upfront also, lets not forget Leverkusen superstar Voronin will be there next season.
I personally would like to see some one of Eto'o's quality, but not Eto'o. I have a feeling Villa would be a flop in the premiership and Torres is a possibility, but he wanks over Athletico Madrid too much.

I wouldnt say Alonso has been shite all year, he has had a few bad spells, but has looked excellent a lot of the time too.
Agreed about Finnan, he is a great player. But he is something like 32 now, and you could see him struggling this season with the amount of games he had to play. And if we failed to bring someone in this year as cover or to get them used to the english game then we could miss out.
And seriously...who are all these Spanish players your sick of? Alonso, Reina, Garcia and Arbeloa are the only ones in a 30man squad!!

I didn't phrase it right, what I meant was players that played in the spanish league (la liga).
Finnan, that old, Christ. Thought he was only 20 something, looks well young for his age to be fair.
Maybe a replacement is due then!

Yeah, he is fairly old, 31 actually (just checked!). So its best to get someone now.
He buys from La Liga as knows the league, is full of good players, and they dont charge a fortune...unlike if we wanted a decent player from the Prem you'd have to pay well over the odds.
