you'd need someone with many many billions to won you without debt really.
Im happy with our set up currently. Two billionaire owners. No debt on the club. Willing to invest in a bigger state of the art stadium. Willing to invest in the squad.
Just hope its all as good as it sounds!!

Too true, just a shame for the rest of us supporting our home teams stuck in the lower leagues.

Derby moving into the prem is worth £60m, Bristol Rovers promotion into League one = £100k, and we did get some money from the TV deals you are right.
But we made more money when we lost at the millenium stadium than we did when we won at wembley?

God knows why that is, nothing to do with the Prem though as League levels have a different board who decide the split of money.

If the clubs can afford to pay the wages, then let them, it's there own fault if it all goes wrong.

Arn't you slightly worried that one day these two bloke's might think "ah i've had enough of this, I've made a but of cash, im off now" leaving you with no investment from them, and players being paid £200k a week.
Not a chance ANY team could afford to bankrole that sort of money from TV money, ticket sales, merchandise etc.
Thats what happened to Hudders a few years ago, and that, along with the ITV Digital fiasco, nearly put us out of business, and took us from being 1 game of a Play Off for the Premiership, to the bottom of League 2 within about 3 years. So be warned.

yes and no.
I know Moores took nearly 5yrs to find the right investors, so he picked them carefully. He wasnt going to sell to just anyone. But there is always the risk they could jump ship one day.
They are doing all the right things now though, and putting down a model that isnt like Chelsea (mega money in and not enough revenue to cover it) as they want to run it as a profitable business after all....as its not just a play thing.

I would say its not really a worry if the big investors walk away because if they walk away they will be make a loss and thus the club will at the end of it be better off.
The top teams can easily survive as a normal running business - Arsenal is a prime example. The board does not finance the club out of dept etc. The stadium was financed using business loans etc. thus if the guys at Liverpool walked away then IMO liverpool get enough money via TV/ Gates etc to carry on. The major difference is they can't just splash out 20M when they want to.

We can now though
We wouldnt if they walked away though, unless some other backers came in, or if they had pushed the brand to its full potential like Utd.
