Bit of a myth IMO

C's had a similar 1.4 Engine as the B (same BHP output anyway) and got the same book figures 0-60 - if there was a difference it'd show up!

I would choose a VTR over a 1.4 C SRi tbh. They aren't really that bad on insurance either.

corsa c 1.8 not much quicker than a VTR?

the corsa c 1.8 is an even match to 80 mph with a VTS, they are far quicker than the VTR and dont rattle and fall to bits after 50k either.

couldnt really afford the insurance a bit out my range, plus the spec isnt up there with that of the sri, basically performance is all the vtr has over the sri.

also will be putting my black wheelson for now

id say its closer matched to a vts tbh than a vtr, vts is quicker tho

no but the truth is that you would think the corsa c 1.8 is faster than anything else ever made if you had one, the same way you were about your old corsa and now with your Vts....

i wasnt like that with my old corsa, my old corsa was dead level with a 1.8sri and i used to get beaten by vts./106gti, i dont think my vts is the fastest thing made, but its quicker than a 1.8sri, fukin hell conditions at pod were perfect and the lad in that blue 1.8sri could barely break into the 16s

and I dont think you can judge a cars performance based on what 1 person achieved at santa pod once.
