Yep, the MR2 Turbo is in the Scoob/Evo/Skyline Category and as usual with the Jap turbo cars they are easily tuned to around the 300bhp mark!
Even the 170bhp NA MR2's are ok tho, at least the engine is in the right place and the correct wheels are being driven!

Why does everything in the world have to be compared to a 106 gti, there is no comparison between a quick jap turbo and a mild french hatchback.

Thats why the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini have been making front engine front wheel drive supercars for years eh?
Poor argument against a rear wheel drive that is!

lol yes it can topshot in fact i was sitting in the EG VTi when it beat the MR2 2.0. The 106gti and EG have very close figures. they are both very different cars though
the turbo is a quick car responds to mods very well mate has one running about 250 handling isnt as bad as people think just need to know how to drive it.

crap driver then as MR2 is quicker both 60mph and 100mph so must have been driver error that allowed the other to win.
close but the MR should edge it.

i say an mr2 2.0 isnt that fast considering how it looks if an eg VTi and a 106 Gti can keep up

theres no way on a dual carriage way a 106 gti will go past a MR2 if they are both going for it.
but as they are old most are prob shagged anyway
