TBH, if it's just a speed limiter like BMW's 155mph one, it can be removed.

id like to see them even try to do that, nearly every production car today can do over a 100mph, plus then theyd have fun trying to ban all the exotic cars lol, a new eu approved lambo topping out at the same speed as a new punto, yeh good luck with that one eu.
What about the cars that can accelerate quickly aswell wud they ban them too.

TBH it'll never happen, government makes too much money from speeding and the like so making cars go slower would cut the number of huge fines for people doing over a ton.

8v won't - but the 16v will

In reality, how would they "ban" the cars that are already on the road ? Are they going to give us all a new car and take the old one away ??

Not going to happen, period !

They'd scrap your old car and expect you to buy a brand new replacement which used shitloads of energy to manufacture and makes your 'carbon footprint' larger.
