i will be getting a lower front strut at some point, too see what its like
if you want a track road car, get adjusterable preload/rebound shocks, its not how low you car is, but how good your suspension is. but also bear in mind, the lower the centre of gravity the less body roll you will get
mines set really soft for road, and is more comfortable than GSI standard suspension( apart from speed bumps!!), but for the track stifferen the front right up, and the the back about half way and the car is set perfect, to stiff rear makes the handling feel very strange
muppetsport - you car problely handles better higher up because the camber is nearer 0 degrees, where as mines is around -65 front and -60mm back, but the camber is set at -0.5 degrees all round (was 2degrees front before adjusted it)

aye my suspension has been set up using some really expensive equipment and about 5 days of testing it until we were happy
such things like removing front arb on mine helps it through the corners as it has that little bit of body roll instead of just sliding out from under me

thats all i think about it. ive never had a problem with back end going out at all and mine light.
Hmmm.
Now that i have the RSX rear sus (cheers Willay) it does feel a lot better than it did b4 with it's FK dampers and 30mm eibach springs.
I do believe that if i did fit one and it didn't make any difference i would be able to tell coz the roads round here are about 80% 60 limits and very twisty.
I know how fast i can safely take each corner and how the car is going to react on each bump.
But it is only £100..........

So it is possible to have everything too hard and you need a little flex in there?

But wouldn't the car handle better with front and rear ARB's and front and rear strut braces?

fitting struts/arb's help stiffen the body (which is good) and give less roll, a roll cage is the best thing though
but hard suspension isn't always the best option, stay away from cheap kits

I dont care what muppetsport says - I noticed a difference when i fitted the rear arb especially when i used the same roundabouts more or less every time i drive the car and it definately felt more stable. Unlike Warren I didnt think much of the front strut brace so i took it off - maybe it was too tight im not sure.
How a car handles is all down to personal preference

agreed, if your preference is pretend mods that will make you think your in a go-kart and actually crash again, then yes, personal preference it is

i heard people say this too about strut braces, yet when i took mine off (to paint ) i noticed alot more tire squeel and didnt handle as well
maybe its the set up of the car
