hi there i would go for the gsi not cause i own 1 but the fact is the gsi is a far better car, fair enough theres not many with electric windows or owt, but these thing only make it heavier. its not just the kit on the gsi its the engines well if its a c16xe an not the sh**ty eco crap. early M regs still have the old c engine, an with that milege its rare, the c16xe engine is a lot stronger build engine, bigger inlet ports, no egr, no map sensor an so on. the engines also have differant bhp, gsi 109, sport 1.6 104, not much but more to start with. the interior also looks better.
if i were you mate it would be the gsi all the way, plus there a much saught after car an getting rarer

a sport looks like every other boring corsa, a gsi is a gsi, it looks different.

dont waste time buying a shitty 1.2 replica and then fitting gsi bits when you could buy the better looking car to begin with

u see thousands of sports, but rearly see GSI's nowadays. they've either been ragged. written off or rotton from age but hold out for a good one cause they're the best Corsa vauxhall have ever made (MY OPINION PEOPLE. DONT START CRYING)

If the Gsi is clean and low miles as you say would go for that, look 100x better standard than the sport

with a few subtle changes it will look the same as a few subtle changes made to a 1.2.

so if thats the case, buy a 1.2 sxi, same car as a sport, look the same

With a different engine

If you can get a mint GSI thats what I would get, but they're like rocking horse shit to get these days, so just get a sport!

no, dont listen to this clown. dont settle for less if you want a gsi by getting a far inferior looking sport.

Whats a better option

A) Boring sport, paint a fit a GSi kit easily talking £250 at the least I would say if you found it cheap enought

B) Buy a GSi, may have a rusty bootlid, get it fixed for £150

GSi all the way

Anyone who says sport is just trying to convince themselves they made the right decision when they bought there old lady mobile

I found a mint GSI, it cost me but I never looked back. I also had to travel 200+ miles to get it but I guess it depends how much you want one eh! Sports are common although obviously much easier to get in decent condition etc. But if you get a mint GSI, there isn't a better Corsa out there IMO. Just keep it tidy and original and your on to a winner

*Update* I went for the sport, and am very happy

It's completely standard but i'm happy as i'll be making it my own anyway

Obviously lacks the 'raw' feeling of the G40, but it's suprisingly torquey.
