tbh i realli dont see what the issue is....you got caught. It like me saying i got caught doing 31 in a 30 limit...if i did it was my own fault noone elses

You wouldnt get caught as you are allowed 10% for speedo errors

And tbh if you were given £60 fine for the sake of 3mins, you'd be gutted. Maybe you would of done things different but you have to admit it is pretty unreasonable, someone must of been watching.

reguardless what time it was mate it was before the idicated free parking time

i am getting done the now for driving whilst on a mobile because i was parked in a street. and rolled forward 2 inches to look round the corner car wasn't even running

The other point is, I don't carry cash around with me, so I couldn't have paid for the parking, I would have had to have gone to my flat to get some change and then come back, sadly there wasn't enough time.

No-one is on their high horse, you knew it was 3 mins to and chose to leave your car. I'd have waited with it or drove around for a couple of minutes

If a car park was £1 and hour and you were 1 hour and 3 mins would you argue to get it for £1?

I think its completely unreasonable, and although I'm not familiar with the strength of such a case my personal feeling is that there should be some margin for actually purchasing the ticket in which the car will not be displaying but your intention is still to pay.

It appears to me that the warden either is feeling very harsh for no reason, or has a quota to meet, or has seen the car before and not managed to get in there so he's done it today.

Either way, you parked illegally and that is the fine and you must bear this in mine in the case of any appeal.

I also don't consider this chaps race to have anything to do with it, not sure where you were going with that one.

I'm not questionting the legality of what I did. I was just commenting that it was un-reasonable. Also, if I had put a pound twenty in the machine one hour and three mins away from 1800 I'm sure I would have not got a ticket. I would put money on it actually.
