found out that the plug nut in the gearbox is causing all the leaking so job sorted. Someone before me has crossthreaded it. Getting a local grasstracking problem solver from york to rethread it for me
Should be getting skirts off (wilson_sri for the right price ) when i'm paid too

just to stop it looking mucky i gave the engine bay a wee clean after work today. Camera phone but you get the idea, i also gave my rocker cover a little polish and clean, to say its matt, came out pretty well.
only a boring clean in the project section but means i wont have to do it again for a while

done a little bit on the car today - well the engine.
Cleaned out the powercap - but couldnt be arsed to do the ICV im afraid, will do that another day with some piccies.
What i did do was decoke the engine. Bought some stuff by ecotek ive used a couple of times that uses an expanding foam method through the fuel system to clear out coke and carbon deposits.
Simply take off your AFM and inlet pipes (keep the afm attached though) then spray down through your ICV into the engine. And before anyone says it knacks it - it doesnt!
I used it on my corsa with 60k on the clock and not much came out. But my GOD!
Never in my life have i seen such a big cloud of white crap with black soot mixed in it in my life.
I couldnt see anything behind the car lol. Taken the car out afterwards and pulls much better and the idle is nice and smooth now at 1k.
Try it yourself. Also the flatspot in 3rd is a lot less so im happy.

Did a few things today as im off work till wednesday and am bored!
After a little while ive decided to remove the rear wiper and plug it up....
Before...
Now just a couple of quick pics. Will get some proper ones later
After...
Also noticed some rust starting in the wheel well, Going to spot weld up the hole in it after sanding it down.
At the minute it looks like this...
Also interior on inside the boot was a bit worn so ive sprayed up them and the whel arches too..
Going from...
to...
As its just a quick job theres still dirt/grime on the wilds and in the corners but theres no oxidisation
Just got to get round to doing the wheel well...

yeh does pull a little better overall. No more noticable flatspots thanks to the air feed.
Im getting a new inlet tube and AFM, along with changing fuel pump and filter, see if it gives it a bit more oomph!
cheers though. Delivered really quickly

yeh a lot of people say that.
I think its the profile on the tyres mixed with the extra drop from the engine weight.
Tip top

Got some wheel damage last night and an impressive puncture to say the least. Thought i'd dented the rim but turns out the major kerbing's just pushed the outer rim up if you get me.
Pics:
Gnarly. Getting it repaired by a local guy for 50 quid :tumbs:
Is also an excuse to get some yoko rubber on it.
