Money wise going out and buying a gaming PC is one of the worst things you can do!
just think a pretty good machine costs around £1000 - £1500, thats a bloody Redtop Conversion!
might as well buy yourself a phat HD TV and either a 360/PS3!

I didn't buy a 720p tv for that.
I know!! that's like, 80 missing p.
Gaming PC's are certainly more affordable nowadays, the only problem is there are precisely no games coming out on PC that I want to play, that aren't also coming for 360. Except maybe Crysis, for which I will need a PC constructed at Cape Canaveral. Wheras the 360 has a lot of interesting stuff coming out in the near future.

keyboard and mouse only has its uses for certain games, fps etc, controller is better for a host of other stuff.
plus id rather play games chilling in front of a 32" TV on a nice sofa, rather than huddled up infront of a 19" tft upstairs

pity theres no decent releases for pc any more, as theres more money to be made from consoles hence why theres more games coming out on console, hence why the console is now better than a pc
And as for saying pc's do other things, yes they do but who buys a 360 if they want to go on the net.
Theres no point saying you would have to buy a 360 and a pc to do everything we already know this.
not to mention its probs cheapers to get a 360 for gaming, and an uber cheap pc for internet, music and work ect.
You could probs get a 360 and a cheapish pc for around £500, what would that buy you in terms of a gaming pc? Not to mention the upgrades everytime a new game comes out that demmands better specs.

well theres still plenty of releases on PC just because they release different games on console to pcs doesnt mean they dont make any and also most people who have a top spec PC are likely to have a console too if theyre into gaming that much anyway. i prefer my PC to console atm that might change when i get a PS3 and you can always go upgrade one part of a pc to make it loads better you have to go buy a whole new console to make that any better

Ill give you a reason, from what ive observed.
Most pc games are built with single players which take a good amount of time to complete, not the pissy little campaigns you get with console games

totally depends on the game, if you pick an rpg up its gonna last you ages, oblivion, blue dragon, enchanted arms, eternal sonata ect.
just depends what game, fps on consoles generally dont last to long.

I was about to say that console gaming is hassle-free, just plug in and play, no messing about with drivers, system requirements and random crashes to desktop. But my 360 has just red-ringed so FUCK Microsoft.
Gaming PC's are the way forward if you ask me.

Anyone who pays £1000-£1500 for a custom PC is an idiot to be quite honest. Ive built all my own computers since I was 16, and Ive never spent more then £500 at once. You already have the monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and PC case (mine is a badass black Tsuami btw) so all you really need to change are the internals. Ive had the same 500w power box in my PC for about 2 years now, does the job and no problems. Same can be said about both my DVD Writers.
The only thing i'll probably change when I finish uni next year is the graphics card maybe, and maybe get some more RAM. £100-300 right there.
