Yeah was his cage.
Not been at much, cleaned 2 archs and thats about it. Tonight I took the cage out. What a complete bastard . Really was not coming out, was meant to split in the middle and separate, but no joy. Fuck that, got the hack saw out, job's a good'n!
Think it looks alot better without the cage, really didn't suit the car. Ignor the old back seat, thats tempory as I may be getting a re-trim. Nothin planned out as yet, although i've sourced a nice set of wheels not sure if there to everyones taste but i'll try them and if they look like skat on, then to them.

Got new coilovers today for it, went for a nice decent setup. GAZ
Big thanks to Dave A for excellent service.
Never got the rear coilovers because I didnt want to bang any of the arch out though, but hopefully I should still get a nice stance. Just need to get my finger out and gets the archs cleaned so I can get them in.
New wheels should be here next week too.

Well took the badges and stickers off tonight, was thinking of keeping them on, but they weren't great looking so off they came with no marks. Might leave the nova badge on tho, might look a bit bare.
Started to take the waxoyl off underneath, its coming off not too bad, but the engine is a different matter.
Took the exhaust off too, i want a nice exhaust tip, so may as well get a full system to keep a good standard. So a few weeks time and that will be ordered, just a matter of removing the waxoyl
New wheels arrived this week Have to get them tyred up and see what there like, hopefully they look good on, fingers crossed.

Lovely project base, so envious of you having such a minter.
1600 8v on carbs or even a single weber 32/34 would be at home in a retro/clean engine bay.

Well cage is gone, and got the rear seat bench. Its in perfect condition too, soo got lucky there. I think it looks alot better with the interior back, trim pattern may not be the nicest and not to everyones taste but its kinda cool in a retro way.
Got the waxoyl all off underneath, it just needs polished up to give it a better shine.
Got the archs all cleaned up now, and look good as new, not really any work needed to bring them back to black again.
On the other hand my dad has his engine near enough finished, just got the gearbox bolted on should be a matter of setting it in, in a few weeks and buildings the rest up once fitted.
In January should have a bit more money about me, hopefully get a load of parts ordered in and source a few bits in pieces I need for the nova. Mite take it to PVS if its ready, but don't think i'll have much time to work at it untill I finish uni dont really want to rush it, but if its not ready no odds.

Cheers for the offer greg, but think am sorted now.
John should be in, in a few weeks, so i'll get better pics of it then.
Since this thing is back up here, i'll update it whilst am here. Anyway got it lowered.
Got a set of alloys on, but weren't a great fit, so there sold. Looked better in real life, way the tyres cleaned up. But anyway onwards and upwards, new ones are going to be something pretty special if I can get them sorted.
Sitting pretty low, but might go lower depending on how the new wheels go. Got a few new GM parts from Germany and here:
Cam belt cover.
New washer bottle.
New airbox.
New backbox.
And again brand new GM part, front bumper. Need to sort a new rear bumper aswell, front was pretty faded and wasn't coming up great so got this, better than spraying it as I like the plastic look.
But pretty boring really, few weeks time should have some better stuff to show once I finish uni.

Yeah Tom sold them in the end, I liked them on, but were going to catch on the arch so had to go. But new ones should be excellent IF I can get them, but am not saying what they are incase I don't get them.

Cheers for the offer, keeping the engine standard for the mean time, might do something later on if I get bored but at the minute am happy enough way it. Shit progress to be fair, lol, need to get my finger out, want it finished for end of June at the latest. Don't like to rush things so could be a bit delayed no doubt, time I get parts gathered up.
