They appear to be rotten barstewards of things, my pal Neil has had a few in for painting as they've started rusting!

One of them was a 2003 car, the owner is trying to get a warranty claim as new wings cost 700-800 quid a pair!

The one needing wings etc must of been a UK car as he was at Station Garage for a claim.

The white VII with white wheels (same as your skyline wheels AK?) looks mint.

Red is very nice but only on dark wheels (fuck the polished lip look off though )

Adam - I have owned a 6 TME and the MR and covered about 15,000 in each. The MR is donkey years ahead all round, a MUCH better package. After all Evolution is about improving each model, the 9 is better than the 8 and looks aside no doubt the X will be the best yet. The car is much better built, it feels more solid on the road, power delivery is better, then Brembos are light years ahead, turn in feels better - list goes on.

If your going for an 8 then the MR is a no brainer - better cams, alu roof, bilstein suspension etc etc much better car than the GSR really.

Adam if you have the choice then go for the IX - The mivec responds brilliantly, tbh I wish I'd gone for a 9 now, bought this on an impulse. 400bhp on a 9 is piss each (just a remap/fuel pump).

Just spoke to Neil, he's had 3 evo's in so far for rusty bits needing painted, the 03 one he has in just now is the worst.

I've never had any problems with rust nor believe this is a common problem - not much info on the MLR. And believe you me if it was a problem people wouldn't be moaning on there! Are these imports on UKs? There are a lot of shoddy import cars about which could well be full of rust.

2 of the best evo's in the world in my opinion, and even more after watching them throughout Time Attack 07.

yes, The RC two are superb

I'd love a IX, but budget is a factor i suppose

An evo would prob be a sensible step up to a 993 turbo. Cant really find black 993 turbo's for under 35k and i dont want to spend anywhere near that just now i'm afraid :/

RS? RS11? The RS has a tiny tank though, must need filling up every 2 mins rather than every 4

ok... i'm goign to confess to not knowing much about evo ranges

Whats the best EVO VIII or IX to go for? Wanting quick, but usable... so nothing daft like an MR400.

Dont need it to be balls out track car, dont want it to be too soft.... something down the middle

MR300? What sort of budget to buy? I'm aware of running costs before anyone starts that one.

16-18k for a VIII MR FQ340
15-18k for a VIII MR FQ320
14k+ for a VIII MR FQ300
11k+ for a VIII GSR
