Regardless of my first 2 posts tho, bit of a choker that. We all have a play in our cars (regardless what people on the internet will lead you to beleive) and sometimes we fuck up. I just personally wouldn't post about it on here

Fingers crossed. Wish I knew someone who knew what they were looking at and won't be a dick and try and say parts are damaged when they're not. I don't trust garages.

Is the bearing in the wheel itself, or the hub?

whack a complete rear beam on, that way you dont waste any time/money trying to find the problem. thats my input. i spun my car once, but i was on the track, i havent done it since though.

whack a new rear beam on amtey, i had to do it on my original corsa as we bought it crashed 2 repair. i paid 60 from a scrappy for the beam, hour job max, just undo the shocks springs out, undo brake lines, then undo the bit that holds the axle on then revers it, two man job. your alloy mite be buckled tho!

So if I buy a rear beam, will the hubs come with it? If it's not much more I might just do that.
Do all corsa hubs fit a 1.4 SRi?
Same for rear beams, are they all the same?
Having a go at fixing it tomorrow, hub or beam, not sure yet. Then taking it to a local garage I'm friendly with (forgot about them until just now) and get him to have a proper look to see if it's all sorted.
If rear wheel is buckled I'll whack a steelie on for the time being, at least it'll be driveable!

all the hubs are the same on non-abs corsas. it really is worth doing the whole beam though, simply because the rear beam is used for alignment when your tracking is done, if this is out and you get it tracked, not only will your rear tyre wear unevenly but your fronts will too, nicht gut!

Spent the past 3 hours replacing the rear hub, it was slightly bent so got one from the breakers. But the wheel is still really wonky so looks like it's new rear beam time
I really don't have a clue about this and it took me and my Dad 3 hours just to do a hub, and he said he wouldn't know where to start with a hub

Is a rear axle and rear beam the same thing?

All those of you who have posted saying he's a dick etc etc have never thrown there car into a roundabout or broken the speed limit? BULLSHIT! Most of you cocks have probably crashed and wriiten of your cars.
I've lost it time and time again, but managed to get control again. I try not to drive like a twat, but sometimes get carried away. Luckily never crashed.
Gutted for you mate

Andrew, pretty bold statement to say most people have crashed and written off their cars.
Also just put a new rear beam on, not a bit job and saves alot of pissing about.

Gonna try around a few scrappies tomorrow to see if they're open. Know someone who fitted a rear beam yesterday so it's a piece of piss for them! Hope I can get one.

gutted, but its a car, its made to be used.
if you bent it, then so be it. youll learn and move on
rear beam is a case of, undo and unclip brake pipes and hand brake cable.
undo lwer shock bolts.
undo the 2 main beam bolts
and its off

I love it when people ask for advice on here and then ignore. 3 hours wasted!
