Played the demo - really like it.
And in its own way it is more realistic, in that your finger actions kinda have to mimic what your feet would be doing.
Like for a kickflip you have to push the stick down then diagonally up, which is exactly what your feet have to do in real life.
Might be tempted to buy it

how the fuck is it anymore realistic...since when in real like do you hit buttons to jump up and do a grind or whatever you kids are calling it these days.
sounds like youve never touched a skateboard so you wouldnt understand
I havent really, but I would guess that it is nothing like hitting 'X' 'O' 'X' on a joypad to do a flip or something.
You can say this about every game ever made though. Since when has a footballer had to press 'X' to shoot......stop trying to be awkward.

thats the point though, your not hitting X O X to do a flip, your having to flick the analog stick around to mimic the feet action.
noones saying its just like real life but that its MORE realistic than TH

Why are you getting hung up on 'physics' and 'realism'? Surely a games console is for enjoyment? If you want realistic physics get off your fat arse and buy a skateboard.

Never played them but i'd assume it's not you get shot once then die game over like it would be if you were a real sniper in Iraq?

well all depends where you get shot, if they hit you in the head you usually die straight away.
if you get hit elsewhere takes a couple of shots.
the only unrealistic thing is after you get shot and take cover you regain your health again after a while

agreed, and I'd say it about those too if someone said it was realistic as they did in here.

Got the demo today, took a bit of getting used to, but I quite like it now.
Camera angles are crap though, that's the only annoying thing, and you fall off more often than on Tony Hawk games.

Part of the fun robin, avoiding obstacles makes it more interesting IMO.

I find grinding really hard on it.. fall over a shitload attempting to grind, even small ledges

Used to love this on the PS3 but got stuck on the Pro Challenges and gave up. Just could not do a 360 flip to frontside crooked grind in that Matrix place. Or get a billion point in a no-skate zone or whatever. The tricks are too similar to pull on the analouge sticks.
