Go with a relatively bright green. Me and a few mates at work figured that if ya painted it green, with those funny mirrors, it would look oddly like Shrek.

thats because it really isnt half the car a veyron is, yes its faster, but the veyron is still more awesome in my eyes
Course the Veyron is more awesome, only a fool would say it isnt! I aint got Veyron money tho and the only thing that will pass me in the Ultima is another Ultima with a more powerful engine!
It isnt even 1/4 the car the Veyron is but it is roughly 1/30th of the price

You;ll enjoy it imo and it'll look ace in white.
I didnt really want to build it myself but a turnkey to the spec I want is about £60k. You can pretty much cut that price in half for a kit!
Plus if I build it and it breaks, it will be a lot easier to fix!
Yeah, minds made up on white now!

I've looked on the site, but it doesn't say.
Allow £45k for the complete build. They are a kit car.

Mental cars...
At Veyron comments. Only millions and millions, 10+ years development, computers all round etc... The Ultima is a mans car, engine, stearing wheel, brakes, off you go. Veyron is a technical masterpeice owned by large walleted small endowed rich boys who are straightliners. Usually won't know anything about cars, how their car works etc. Ultima owners will usually have a clue.
Ultima is awesome. Shotgun a ride when its built please stu.

Exactly.
Stu, are there higher power optional engines available? Arnt they hemi type engines or something? If its american and V8, it can be tuned ;-) More a case of how big is your wallet.
Selling a TVR for an engine is just quality

Yeah, there are so many engines to choose from here - http://www.amerspeed.com/ Anything up to 800hp in a crate
Plus people have used all sorts of engines in Ultimas from twin turbo Alfa V6's to Maclaren F1's - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=395922
Haha, I will be sad to see the TVR go but I reckon with what I get for it, I should get engine, box and diff as well as a few other bits. Cost of the kit all in is going to be between £30k and £40k depending how nuts I go..........so probably £50k
Hope fully will be on the road within 12 months but as I did with the MK Indy Ill post up progress pics daily!

Watched the video last night. Fast, but a little skatty, reckon it have gone even quicker yet.
Watched some vides on youtube last night, one of a Covette at pod and a GTR doing a sub 10 second run The Corvette will prob do a 13, and just got left for dead
Then watched some 700 BHP (@ rear wheels) twin turbo jobbies just spin up and not get lower than an 11.... Power is nothign without control, see NA power rocks
Ed, I know its a kit car, but thought there was only a certain range of engines to choose from.
Stu, road trip to kent to run the engine please

I'm trying to persuade a friend to get one, but he says he's looking for something more comfy and refined like a Viper.
Benefit of the GTR is that insurance will probably be cheap (comparitavely) because of it being a kit car.
Stu, your plan sounds good. Can't wait for build story.

Yeah man, funny thing is i've spoken to Andy Bracey the other day (carrabic blue 2.0 16v, 15" volcanos, irmscher kit (had the 1st airdam)). Just had a little girl the other day, made it on the front cover of a VW mag this month with his VW bus too.
Oldies are appearing out the woodwork...

Not sure yet, provisionally ordered the kit but am going down next week to test drive and leave a deposit.
Not buying everything at once due to storage and costs so am going to have a word with them and see how much ill need to keep me busy for a few months!
