5 hours? I did mine in 15 minutes:

Jack car
remove wheel
paint with spray can
refit wheel
lower car

instead of using a wire brush by hand to do the brake drums could you not put a wire brush attachment in a electric drill

No No, jack up the back of the car, take the wheel off, put it in gear and accelerate. Get your mate to hold the wire brush to the drum
