The garage near my old flat sold red. Not sure why though as it's a petrol station in the middle of Birmingham...

You do realise if you get caught running red diesel you will end up getting your car crushed.

It's the same stuff you put in a car. It's just dyed red so you can distinguish it from white diesel. Farmers wouldn't put crap in thier machinary.

Cant remember the last time my car(s) were ever checked for Red Diesel.

iv got quite a few farmer mates, several of them have had samples taken from the cars, i dont live on a farm and have never had a sample thats where i draw that conclusion from

I get what you mean Steve, it's not like they are going to pull you over and do a dip test whilst driving through a city centre, but still, if I had a car of any value I wouldn't do it.

Ive done thousands of miles in a diesel, plenty of attension from coppers, never ever ever been checked.

I've never been checked, but then again isnt there something very distinctive when you run on red dev?

Maybe its cause their a bunch of badgers steve?

My dads a farmers, hes never been stopped. usually its vans/jeeps they check but iv never seen them checking people. Never hear of them doing it much

I live on a farm. We have never had any fuel samples taken from our cars

So, am I right in thinking you could put 50% diesel / 50% veg oil into your car (diesel obviously) and it'll run fine?
