If the EML is lit when you have wired it up then you can easily do the paper clip test to source the issue.
Where did you get the new AFM by the way? As there are loads of cheap copies going around which are dire.
Problem does sound like the lambda tho..... turn off the car and unplug it.... see if it drives any better as the ECU should try and follow a default data set instead of reading a live figure.

Its going be the lambda, if its doing it when cold.
Seeing as the lambda signal is completely ignored until the engines warmed up.
It could be the lambda affecting warm emissions yeah.

well its really boggy untill it warms up a bit better say after 30 seconds.....
Maybe the closed loop for the lambda's buggered?
picking car up tomorrow from mark and will try the lambda etc etc....

just got an invoice from ordering my parts. has cost me near 500 quid and i still cant use my fucking car.
thats near 3000 quid ive spent to have a white elephant sat in my fucking garage that was fine before the build.
I dontmean to be harsh to dave but i had no problems with running at all before the build, and now its all going tits mcgee.
I really want to take the car back to Vsport but no electrical items were replaced and Dave probs wont cover it, plus its in newcastle and i have no fooking tax or mot.
Rant over as the expense this car is costing me is sinking in

what cost £500 for £500 I could supply and fit a new ecu, new loom, coil, dizzy, all new sensors and do all of the re-wiring behind the dash!
wired up the EM light yet?

AFM took up 180 so the other 320 is all my sensors, dizzy, leads, plugs, IVC, MOT, other emission tests, 40 quid to my mate for his time etc etc.
edit - will be doing the EM light tomorrow.

Get them to check my ECU too for a fiver.
True. If i fit this lambda and AT LAST the cars ok then i'll be happy as larry, will just need a new horn for the MOT.

tbh you should have got the eml light working first and gone from there.don't take it any where or payout anymore money untill that is working and you have done a fault code test.
